Der Huasco Fluss und seine Ufer – auf dem Abschnitt, der durch die Stadt Vallenar fliesst – wurde zum „Humedal Urbano“ erklärt. Ein Ökosystem mit großer Vielfalt an Flora und Fauna, aber auch ein Ort kultureller, sportlicher und Freizeit Aktivitäten für die Bewohner der Stadt. Wir radeln am Ufer des Flusses entlang bis zum Sektor El Jílguero, wo uns ein überraschendes Ambiente inmitten der Wüstenhügel erwartet.
