From our starting point – the small village of La Arena Alta – we pedal uphill 5 km through the coloured Pinte ravine also known as the “Rainbow of Atacama” due to the wide range of colours of the surrounding hills, which – lots of millions of years ago- were the ground of the ocean.
Arriving to the tiny village that has no public transportation neather internet nor cell phone coverage, we take us time to rest and to let us involve by the special ambiance of this place that seems to be the scenery of a fairy tale and where time seems to stand still.
We listen to the wind and the birds, walk around and learn about the history and the paleontological vestiges of the place.
We then cycle downhill the ravine and the Transito Valley on the shore of the Transito River that gives life to this valley which is traditionally marked by agriculture.
In the valley’s main village El Tránsito we visit the picturesque village square with its benches made of marble mined in the sector nad there’s time to try one of the traditional “helados de nieve”. We cycle on until the village of Chanchoquín where our tour ends.

Tour doesn't include: Transfers or public transport, insurance, other food than the mentioned, sun protection
You should bring:
*comfortable and suitable clothing and shoes for cycling
* small backpack
* sun protection such as hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, sunhat, etc.
Notes:
-Permited age range: 12 – 65 years
-Activity is not suitable for pregnant women, persons with limitations in their mobility, persons with cardiac and respiratory problems, persons with problems in their knees
-Any restriction in health of a participant has to be informed with anticipation
-Participants should be able to ride a bicycle and to follow the instructions of the guide
-Every participant should fill out an inscription and acceptance of risk – form before initiating the activity
