Bicycle Tour Farms around Vallenar
We leave the capital of the Huasco Province by bike. We cross the old bridge that was part of the northern Panamericana and from which we have a panoramic view of the valley and the city.
South of Vallenar, we enter the desert areas on the outskirts of the city. Despite the aridity of the surroundings, we find agricultural fields thanks to the irrigation canal systems and water storage ponds designed by the old landowners. We cycle through the areas of the former Haciendas Compañía and Buena Esperanza, their current fruit and vegetable cultivations, and their small villages, and most likely we will encounter some goats or cows along the way.
To return to the city, we must cycle a stretch along the main road that connects Vallenar with Huasco before turning towards the small village of Perales Viejos, where we cross the Huasco River and take then a rural road that runs alongside the river. Here we find native vegetation and with a little luck we can observe different species of birds.

- Permited age range: 12 - 70 years
- Activity not suitable for pregnant women, people with limited mobility, people with respiratory or heart problems, people with knee problems.
- Any health restricction should be informed in advance
- Participants must know how to ride a bicycle and be able to follow the guide's instructions.
- Each participant must fill out a registration and risk acceptance form before the start of the activity
