Arts and Stars
This experience combines a jewelry smithing workshop, where you put your own hands to work, with the visit to an ancient rock art site and the observation of the incomparable Atacama night sky.
In our smithing crafts workshop you can create your own jewel in copper with the help of the jewelry smith Iván Torres who belongs to the indigenous ethnic group of the Diaguitas, and by the way you’ll learn about the local history of minerals and metallurgy.
Once we finished the workshop, we´ll move to a ravine outside the city to enjoy the sunset with an outdoor cocktail with local products.
After a short hike we´ll arrive to the location of the petroglyphs, that were attributed to the ethnic group of the Molle which already inhabited this zone centuries before Crist.
As the night falls over the valley, we focus our views on the sky and let ourselves be amazed by the stars. We’ll be assisted by a local astronomic entrepreneur who’s pasioned for this territoty and its night skys. We´ll observe with naked eye and with telescopes and you’ll take with you a beautiful astrophotography.
